OUR FILM GENRE Lucia and I have been discussing our trailer genre and we have come to our final decision and have selected ROMANCE to be our genre for the trailer. This genre consists on using passion, emotion and affectionate movements to show the process of the love growing between them and include the audiences expectations on romance and make it reality. For example, two people finding out they love each other. These features will help audiences recognise the genre and expect how the film will end. In this genre, the two individuals usually face obstacles like family, physical illness, discrimination (…), which usually joins them further together and end with a happily ever after and the authentic "true love's kiss". COMEDY In this genre, the main emphasis is humour, designed to amuse the audience by exaggerating the characters personality and actions. They normally end in happy endings, expect for black comedy, which ends in a sad ending. ROMANCE Thi s type of genre focuses on the love between two people. Endings of these films will normally make you cry being of the romantic language used and the realistic feeling of the love between them. To create romantic films, the language used needs to be accurate for people to feel the 'same' emotions as the actors. ACTION Action films consist of heroes/heroins that go through many challenges to reach their goal, in which there are fights, chases, explosions... These films normally are fast-passed and can normally last more than one film like (e.g.) Fa st and Furious. In these films, there is normally the typical villain that they are planning reveng e on and typically ends in the hero/heroin winning. ...

This year we will be learning and perfecting knowledge learnt and waiting to be learnt to achieve our desired grade. Last year, we were informed about the different variations of angles, movements and shots used to create a film and all the characteristics that make up film making. We learnt about them in depth and did activities to practise our knowledge like analysing clips of films, from series...  We created a film opening per group and 2 preliminary tasks per film opening. In my group, after many decisions, we decided that our film opening would be in the horror genre. It consisted about a girl taking a walk through the forest when she encounters herself with her stalker. He commenced to follow her and chase her until he fell over and the girl had time to hide away and call her mum.
